tensioned shadow
Tensioned sails cover living areas, gardens and pool areas without incorporating a heavy structure. The tarp is held in tension between existing walls, posts or anchor points and leaves the space visually open.
Its shape adapts to the geometry of each place. A triangular, square or rectangular sail can resolve a specific area or be combined with others to expand the shade and build a custom composition.
Composition and tension
Each corner of the sail needs a sturdy support point. From these anchors we define the shape, height and inclination of the canvas so that it works correctly and evacuates water when the configuration requires it.
The difference in height between the points also helps to create a more dynamic silhouette and orient the shadow according to the hours of greatest exposure.
Custom project
We choose a triangular, square or rectangular format depending on the area to be covered and the distribution of each outdoor area.
We review walls, existing structures and the need to incorporate poles to keep the sail properly tensioned.
We study the path of the sun and the level of shade sought to guide the canvas and select the appropriate fabric.
